  Casting the block

     - The mould must be well painted with old cooking or motor oil before pouring cement. After pouring, tap the mould frequently with a rubber mallet to remove air bubbles.

  De-moulding the block

     - Run a large washer between the edges of the moulds to break the concrete seal, gently twist the washer to separate the moulds. Remove one mould, then tap the other loose with the mallet handle.
