Dome House Construction Photos

A selection of photos of the construction of my dome house, which I believe is the first of this type in Maun

    

Rondavel walls are constructed up to 1.8m, then a specialised plasticated canvas balloon is inflated in the structure (see blue above) and a single-brick wall is layed over the balloon. The balloon is continuously inflated by an air compressor during bricklaying, but the compressor is turned off 2 hours after bricklaying each night, and the balloon is re-inflated the next morning. The two domes are joined by a 1m long "tunnel."
