Alike, M > F. More slender and smaller bodied than Burchell's
Starling; tail much longer but distinctly tapered. Eyes dark.
Underparts matt black and tail shorter than ad.
Localised and sparsely distributed resident.
Tall woodland, especially Mopane with scattered Baobab trees.
Mainly insects; also fruit and flower petals.
Series of churring notes.
Monogamous. Most nests in natural tree cavities. Occasionally
parasitised by Great Spotted Cuckoo.
