A young woman, accompanied by her very proper chaperone, visits Florence and falls in love.

When Lucy Honeychurch and chaperone Charlotte Bartlett find themselves in Florence with rooms 
without views, fellow guests Mr Emerson and son George step in to remedy the situation. Meeting 
the Emersons could change Lucy's life forever but, once back in England, how will her experiences 
in Tuscany affect her marriage plans?

Lucy Honeychurch, a young Englishwoman, makes her first visit to Florence, Italy in the early 1900's. 
There, she meets a quiet yet eccentric young man named George Emerson. Upon her return to England,

her heart and her growing attraction to George.
